The Houston Astros take on the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday in Game 4 of the 2022 World Series, exclusively on FOX and the FOX Sports app.

First scoreless

Unlike the previous two games, no team was listed in the first inning. Only Yordan Alvarez reached safely after going celibate.

Aaron Nola out of trouble

The Phillies starting pitcher got two of the first three batters to base in the top of the second inning. With runners in the corners and one out, Nola retired Aledmys Diaz and Chas McCormick to end the inning.

Houston has gone 14 straight innings without scoring a run.

The Astros had runners first and second in the top of the fourth after a pair of two-out singles. Nola then forced an out of Diaz’s first pitch to end the inning.

Javier hit the team in the bottom of the fourth, making JT Realmuto, Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos feel on the third strike. The right-hander recorded seven strikeouts in four innings.

Astros forces pitch change

Houston’s first three batters hit base in the top of the fifth, leading manager Rob Thomson to pull Nola out of the game in favor of Jose Alvarado. Nola allowed seven hits while striking out four batters in four innings.

Houston breaks the ice

Alvarado hit Yordan Alvarez on the first pitch he threw, walking into a run to give Houston a 1-0 lead.

The astros wake up

The next hitter, Alex Bregman, threw a two-run double to right field, giving the Astros a 3-0 lead with runners at second and third. Kyle Tucker then hit a sacrifice fly, giving the Astros a 4-0 lead.

They get another run

The Astros go wild in the fifth, as Yuli Gurriel singled to left field for Houston’s fifth run of the inning.
