Major cruise line drops US port vaccine requirement

As the cruise industry has returned from its covid-related shutdown of March 2020 to July 2021, many people have postponed cruising until it is back to “normal”. It’s a relative word, though, because your normal and my normal may not be the same.

Some people have waited to sail until masks are no longer needed, while others will not board until all covid-related protocols are gone. Recently, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) stopped tracking the presence of covid on ships and released a new set of guidelines for the cruise industry. These included recommendations that ships continue to require pre-cruise testing and that passengers be vaccinated.
